I made this shot after multiple days of observation in the depths of the Virgin River Narrows, where the canyon walls tower overhead while constricting the river into a serpentine route without banks for over a mile.  During just the right time, for just the right bend in the river, the sun will reflect off the upper walls of the canyon into the curving lower walls, causing them to glow with color against the turquise waters of the river.
