Balenbouche Canyon
Balenbouche Estate, St. Lucia

This small, narrow canyon leading inland from  the Caribbean Sea, seems primordial with its trickling waterfall, lush vegetation, and tree roots dangling into the river from above:  the perfect place to stash some pirate treasure.  I did find  a petroglyph believed to have been carved by the ancient Arawak inhabitants of St. Lucia, who were driven from the island by the Caribs prior to European settlement.
