Bamboo
Balenbouche Estate, St. Lucia

I enjoy the subtle differences in color and texture among these bamboo stalks: variations on a theme.  I used a long lens on the view camera to flatten the perspective and reduce the scale, and chose a wide aspect ratio to contrast with the vertical stalks.  Balenbouche Estate is an historic plantation, organic farm, and eco-tourism site on the island nation of St. Lucia in the West Indies.
