Dogwood Study
West Clear Creek Wilderness, Arizona

This is the first of a new set of soft botanical images.  I have tried to free myself of the routine technical goals of landscape photography, such as crisp focus, in order to create an image more by feeling than by seeing.  Having cleared my mind of technical details, I listened to the whispers of the dogwood persisting through the frost, and harmonized the background into a soft haiku around the leaf.
