Composition 702
Layers of paint, rust, and patina adorn the door of an abandoned International tow truck, in Silverton, Colorado. With these images, I try to find beauty in the mundane, the discarded, and the forgotten by resurrecting relics of industry as art. May they remind you that every place, person, and thing has a story to tell, if only we make time to stop and listen. As with the rest of my work, the colors are the result of natural corrosion and lighting captured carefully on sheet film, not digital gimmicks.
