Composition 316

This valve was part of an old plant in Johnson City, Texas that had been converted into a funky art café.  The owners had painted the old machinery in bright colors and displayed it as sculpture.  By the time I found it, the café was abandoned; the machinery left to rust again.  I gave it another incarnation as a strong industrial composition juxtaposed with a soft background.  As with the rest of my work, there's no added color or gimmicks here, just patience and understanding of the medium.
